Today, we’re very excited to announce that Moxie is now Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Compliance Level 1 certified. The PCI DSS is the global standard that organizations must adhere to in order to accept payment cards, and to store, process, and/or transmit cardholder data.
The certification is designed to prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. Moxie customer engagement solutions, including Live Chat and Email, passed the most comprehensive and rigorous security requirements PCI DSS has to offer in order to attain certification.
What does this mean for Moxie customers?
Our customers can now leverage their digital engagement channels to support existing PCI certification. In addition, Moxie can enable extending payments using card-related transactions. For example, if an online agent is chatting with an end user (customer) about a product, the agent can accept credit card information, and process the transaction all through chat. This enables online businesses to keep their end users in the mode they are in – messaging – to answer questions and complete the transaction, providing a more positive and secure customer experience. Businesses will now be able to provide a simple, streamlined payment process for the end user, all while remaining PCI compliant.
