President and CEO
Rebecca Ward brings to Moxie a wealth of expertise in managing high-growth technology companies. Prior to joining Moxie in 2014, Ward served as the chief executive officer of Tealeaf, where she helped the company not only sustain during the economic downturn, but grow and deliver innovative customer experience management (CEM) solutions. She presided over Tealeaf’s successful sale to IBM in June 2012.
Ward holds Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering technology and computer technology from Northeastern University, and a Master of Computer Science degree from Boston University. She is also a graduate from the MIT Sloan School of Management’s Executive Business Management Program. Ward’s previous experience includes leadership roles with Digex, Internetworking and Xerox.
Bringing more than 20 years of business and management experience growing successful organizations, Alan “Sparky” Heitmann joined Moxie after serving as VP of Worldwide Operations and Finance at Tealeaf, where he led finance and business administration, professional services and support globally. Prior to Tealeaf, Heitmann was VP of Client Management for Ask Jeeves Business Solutions. In this role, he was responsible for 80 global corporate clients, and built a client relations organization that generated $24 million in revenue.
Previously, Heitmann had managed a $35 million business unit and 100 employees as Director of Consumer Relations for Iomega Corporation. He also spent nine years with Arthur Anderson Business Consulting, where he helped build the firm’s San Francisco and Charlotte consulting practices and managed large-scale engagements for clients such as Amdahl, Applied Materials, Cisco Systems, Guilford Mills, Iomega, Sara Lee and Sun Microsystems. Heitmann holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
SVP Product Development
David Boyer is Moxie’s Senior Vice President of Product Development. With more than 20 years of technology expertise delivering products that meet market and customer expectations, Boyer brings to Moxie a wealth of knowledge and a long track record of success.
Boyer has led numerous product development teams, most recently at BroadVision, where he was responsible for development and support of all product lines, including Portal, Commerce and the Enterprise Collaboration Platform. Boyer holds a Master of Science degree from Indiana University.
As Vice President of Product Management at Moxie, Nikhil Govindaraj is responsible for all aspects of product management, product design and strategy. Govindaraj has more than 15 years of experience in CRM, enterprise collaboration and multi-channel contact centers.
He joined Moxie, then Talisma, in 2000, and has served in several key roles within the organization including program management, sales engineering and product management. Govindaraj earned his MBA in Systems and Marketing from Symbiosis International University in India.
SVP World Wide Sales
Ira Pollack joins Moxie with more than 18 years of enterprise software sales experience, including six years leading a successful worldwide sales team at Tealeaf.
Prior to Tealeaf, Pollack served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for the Business Interaction Division of BEA Systems. Ira joined BEA from Plumtree Software (acquired by BEA in October 2005), where he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. After leading the integration efforts for both Plumtree and Fuego Software sales organizations into BEA, Pollack guided the growth of BEA’s license revenue from approximately $30M in 2005 to $80M by 2008. His previous experience includes VP positions at Consumer Industrial Markets and BearingPoint Consulting. Pollack holds an MBA from San Francisco State University and a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Tara Sporrer is a customer operations and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience in the enterprise software industry. As Moxie’s VP of Marketing, Sporrer is responsible for delivering corporate communications and marketing programs that drive the company’s market presence, revenue and profitability.
Prior to joining Moxie, Sporrer served as Director of Worldwide Customer Operations, Alliance Management, and Web Marketing at Talisma Corporation. During her time with Talisma, she developed the company’s customer experience, partner development, and web presence. She previously managed customer and sales operations at eAssist Global Solutions, where she provided enterprise-wide development and support for critical sales and marketing functions. Additionally, Sporrer managed numerous key retail accounts–including Deal Time, Esprit and Estee Lauder–while serving as an account director at web marketing agencies, Epidemic Marketing and Double-Click.
General Counsel and Secretary
Patrick Maroney is the general counsel and secretary of Moxie. He leads the company’s legal department and manages all aspects of the company’s worldwide legal affairs, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, litigation and compliance matters. Maroney previously worked as a corporate and securities attorney at DLA Piper LLP. He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
