DLD11’s theme is all about new realities, with its motto “Update Your Reality” referring to the impact of digital technology for business, society and the individual. Being digital is no longer a vision but a complex reality factor. In this context, the term “update” is an important behavioral pattern. Besides the 150 international speakers, 800 selected thinkers, designers and pioneers from media, business, society, technology and art are expected to attend the event. Tapscott will be available for select media interviews to discuss these new realities, many of which he discusses in his most recent book Macrowikinomics.
World Economic Forum: The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. The theme of this year’s annual meeting is “Shared Norms for the New Reality,” addressing ideas which are also discussed in depth in Tapscott’s latest book, Macrowikinomics: Rebooting Business and the World.
